Jane principally assists the firm’s commercial property department and has undertaken specialist paralegal training in Commercial Conveyancing organised by Strathclyde University. Her work includes construction, commercial conveyancing and commercial leasing. She is also involved in liquor licensing work for commercial clients.
Jane also has extensive experience in acting for developers in plot disposals from inception to completion of schemes.
She has a thorough knowledge of the residential conveyancing process, including dealing with missives, examining property titles to ensure the acquisition matches client expectations and the conveyancing formalities necessary in order to transfer title.
Jane is a fully registered paralegal with the Law Society. The Law Society and the Scottish Paralegal Association – the professional body for paralegals in Scotland are consolidating the paralegal profession by setting defined standards. To become registered, paralegals must have a recognised and relevant academic qualification and practical experience in their legal area.
